Blueberries from Staicele

Berries grown on the Ģinēni family farm in Staicele, carefully tended and gently picked.

Berry season: from 15 July to the end of August

Carefully tended, picked by hand

Our blueberries grow in film tunnels that protect them from disease, pests and harsh weather, so no pesticides are needed. The varieties ripen at different times, so we pick the berries ourselves, and only when they are ready.

About the berries themselves

Fresh blueberries contain vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants. The berries are sweet and juicy: eat them fresh, freeze them for winter or put them in pancakes, pies and jam.

  • Vitamins C, A and E, and B vitamins
  • Potassium, manganese, copper and zinc
  • Fibre
  • Antioxidants

Our varieties

We grow several varieties, which lengthens the season and widens the range of flavours. Each has its own ripening time, character and sweetness.

  • Duke
  • Spartan
  • Patriot
  • Chandler
  • Bluecrop
  • Bluejay
  • Hardyblue
